Music Reality App

Background

The client is a music educator who, for years, has been using a large amount of printed materials to teach his students music theory. The client wanted to create a mobile app to replace all of the printed materials he had been using. 

Method

I started by interviewing the teacher to better understand his (the "business") goals. I then spoke with students to better understand their (the "users") needs and goals. For further insight, I spoke with the class's highest achievers (the "extreme users"), before distilling these findings into more concrete data. I used this data to come up with a feature set, sitemap, and, eventually, a medium fidelity prototype in the form a click dummy. I then created the user interface and applied it to the existing prototype.
